Psalm 40:9-10- “I have told the glad news of
deliverance in the great congregation; behold, I have not restrained my lips,
as you know, O LORD. I have not hidden your deliverance within my heart. I have
spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not concealed your
steadfast love and your faithfulness from the great congregation.”
Psalm 40: 5-“You have multiplied, O LORD my God, your
wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will
proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told.”
Psalm 67:1-3-“ May God be gracious to us and bless us
and make his face to shine upon us, that your way may be known on earth, your
saving power among all nations. Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the
peoples praise you!”
This is the heart of God-That we would know Him and that His
name would be glorified and proclaimed throughout all the earth. These words
from the Holy Spirit challenge and encourage my heart to proclaim to all, both believer
and unbeliever, all that God had done for us. But I resonate with the psalmist
when he says, “I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be
told.” Where do we begin in describing the deep love and faithfulness that God
speaks to each of our hearts? God’s ultimate act of love, grace, mercy, and
unfailing kindness was shown on the cross where Jesus bore our sins and died in
our place.
Prayer requests:
1.
We are the Body of Christ, and we as the Body reach
the ends of the earth with the Gospel of Christ. Therefore, we are not in this
race alone, but we are running the race together towards the same goal. Wherever
we may be, let our passions be conformed to God’s in that He would be made
known to all peoples of the earth! May
we be unified!
2.
I pray this psalm (Psalm 19) both for my heart,
for you, for our brothers and sisters
scattered throughout the world, and for our brothers and sisters everywhere
that have been predestined to join our family but have not yet met and received
our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
·
May the perfect law of the LORD revive our souls
·
May the testimony of the LORD make us wise
·
May we see that the precepts of the Lord are
right and may that fact rejoice our hearts
·
May the pure commandment of the Lord enlighten
our eyes
·
May our fear of the LORD be clean and endure
forever
·
May we see that the rules of the LORD are true
and righteous altogether
·
May we desire His rules more than fine gold or
sweet honey
·
May we be warned and see the great reward in
keeping His decrees
·
May He keep us back from presumptuous sins and
may they not have dominion over us!
·
And most importantly: May the words of our
mouths and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable in His sight, Our Lord,
our rock and our redeemer!
3.
May we encourage each other by sharing the ways
in which God has shown Himself to be a faithful and steadfast lover. This is why my blog is here- first and
foremost to declare all that God has done. To proclaim to all His steadfast
love and faithfulness. It is also here to keep you updated on what He is doing
before, during, and after my time in the Dominican Republic and to share
specific ways in which He has led my heart to pray for this ministry and His
Kingdom.
